Trampolining is now an affordable, exciting way to stay active, thanks to Brent Grundy’s vision: Flip Out. As the founder and former Chief Executive of the world’s largest trampoline arena franchise, Brent transformed a simple idea into a global movement. Flip Out expanded to 124 franchise stores across 16 countries — including the UK, Afghanistan, and Dubai — employing over 1,100 staff and welcoming thousands of guests daily. Each venue offers multi-level trampoline arenas and activities tailored to children of all ages.

After the widespread success of Flip Out, Brent turned his eye, and his fortune, to a revolutionary new business idea. Seeing the widespread success of major theme park franchises on the Gold Coast, Brent is in the process of turning his 7000-acre Blue Mountains property into the next Wonderland! The theme park, called Outback Escape, is the amalgamation of all Brent’s favourite things into one central location – waking up to the great Australian outdoors, rides, dirt bikes, monster trucks, exotic animals and a hell of a lot of unrestricted fun!

Outback Escape is due to open in 2022 and will feature all the luxuries of a true family retreat, including restaurants and pubs, accommodation, dams, underground rock pools and even an air strip. Brent is also in the process of acquiring animal licences to turn the premises into a zoo that will feature a range of some of the world’s most exotic animals including Native American Buffalo, Zebras, Aardvarks and more. His ultimate long-term goal will be to turn the property into housing for retired Australians looking to embrace wildlife and nature in close proximity to their homes.

While a construction team are currently working around the clock, Brent has opened his property as a campsite retreat for families looking to escape outdoors during Covid-19. Giving families the chance to use his property for camping and caravanning, Brent is also encouraging building-savvy Aussies to build a cabin/bunker on the property – which will later become the accommodation for the theme park.
